So our Social Media Week is shaping up and we are now delighted to give you a bit more information on the content and confirmed guest speakers for this free event.

Join our Free Social Media Week event: 8-10am, 25th September, HG Wells Centre, Woking

It’s an early start so as not to take too much time out of your working day, with registration (free breakfast) and networking from 8-8.30am followed by four 15min powerful presentations packed with helpful tips. Following this we will have a panel Q&A session and finish off with some more networking. The event will finish between 10am and 10.30am.

We’re thrilled with the line-up of speakers who have agreed to take part! They include Sally Pritchett, director and Editco-owner of Something Big, Leigh Hopwood, managing director, Redd Marketing and chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) South East Region, Tracy Stonard from Magenta eMedia along with Padua Communications’ MD Nicky Rudd.

Twitter – Sally Pritchett

Sally has agreed to come along and speak about Twitter and using social for business. Something Big manages Twitter streams for several large organisations and Sally has loads of examples of ROI, what works and what doesn’t that she will share. Something Big Ltd is a well established and award winning, design, print and creative agency based in Woking. With an extensive client side background working for a global corporate, Sally jumped ship to run Something Big and now works closely with both, large corporate clients and local small businesses helping them to define their marketing strategies and grow their businesses.

Leigh will be sharing some great tips on using LinkedIn to generate business leads. Lucky for us she wrote a guest blog post for Padua Communications on LinkedIn a while ago which you can read again here: Leigh has lots of experience of working with B2B brands, helping them use LinkedIn as an effective marketing tool to help raise their awareness and create serious business sales conversations. As well as her role as Chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) South East Region, Leigh is the owner of Redd Marketing, a specialist marketing company that helps technology and services businesses be heard and grow and provides proficient strategic marketing consultancy to help companies develop a clearly defined marketing strategy and plan.

Blogging – Tracy StonardTracy Magenta

Tracy Stonard is the managing director of Magenta eMedia, a social media marketing consultancy that helps businesses to effectively use social media to maximise exposure, attract quality leads and generate paying clients. Through regular blogging, Tracy grew her previous business from scratch to being the number one blog in her industry with tens of thousands of visitors a month. With her successful blogging business, Tracy created opportunities to work with large corporate brands, the media and to become an established international author in her industry. This experience led Tracy to start Magenta eMedia, a marketing consultancy dedicated to helping businesses use social media to its fullest potential. Content creation – Nicky Rudd

Padua Communications’ MD Nicky Rudd will talk about planning a content strategy and creating strong relevant content for your social media channels. Based in Surrey and founded in 2009, Padua Communications is a business communications agency that helps organisations create a conversation with the media, stakeholders and customers. The company offers a range of services including content creation, marketing, PR, copywriting, social media, branding and events management. It also offers training on all of these topics. It was a Toast of Surrey Business awards finalist in 2011 and has recently been shortlisted as Outstanding Small Consultancy in the 2013 CIPR Home Counties South PRide Awards.
