Skills in practice – Stationery or stationary?

So here’s a quick tip to help you remember whether to use stationery or stationary in a sentence.

Stationery is the stuff you need in the office. I remember it by thinking of paper with an er.

Stationary is when something isn’t moving. I remember this by thinking about a car (with an ar) that is stationary.

So paper – stationery

Car – stationary

Hope this helps!
