Padua Communications’ MD Nicky Rudd achieves Chartered Marketer status

We are very pleased to announce that our managing director, Nicky Rudd, has today become a Chartered Marketer. The award was given by the world’s leading professional marketing body, The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

CIM defines a Chartered Marketer as: “a status recognising those marketers achieving the highest level in the marketing profession. It demonstrates commitment to keeping up-to-date and is awarded on a combination of experience and qualifications.”

Chartered Marketer status was developed to encourage experienced marketers to keep their skills relevant through “the proactive maintenance and extension of professional knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to drive responsible practice throughout working life” and is attainable only by seasoned marketing professionals with several years of experience under their belts. It requires dedication to continuing professional development (CPD).

Nicky said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have achieved Chartered Marketer status. It was on my bucket list for 2020, which has been a crazy year. I wanted to focus on developing my marketing skills and professional development. It has been hard to do this while juggling home schooling and running a business in this crazy Covid world, so to have achieved Chartered status is just fantastic.

“Content marketing and PR has changed dramatically in the two decades since I started in the industry, but its importance within business has also increased. This accolade will help our business stand out and ensure that businesses who work with us know we are committed to an extremely high standard when offering strategic marketing advice or implementing marketing activities.”

Nicky has worked internationally in content marketing and PR for over 20 years, founding Padua Communications in 2009. With a background in tech PR and experience of working in both business-to-business and consumer markets, Nicky has plenty of experience of working with clients in a wide range of markets. She has also worked in TV and radio production at The Media Trust and BBC Radio Northampton, where she also presented.
