Join our Free Social Media Week event: 8-10am, 25th September, HG Wells Centre, WokingSMW London badge

As part of Social Media Week in September, Padua Communications is hosting a breakfast seminar on social media. It’s free, you get breakfast and to do some networking. And you can take part in a global social media activity hearing from professionals using social platforms.

Every year, Social Media Week runs with a theme – this year’s is ‘Open and Connected’ and so we are running a free breakfast seminar focusing on ‘Is social opening up your business opportunities?’ We have a number of expert speakers lined up to share their views with good and bad examples of social media within a business environment.

Did you know that last year 12%* of purchases were made through social media? (*source: PwC) and 18% of consumers active in social media made a purchase as a result of information they gathered via their social media connections?

What will you learn?

Targeted at business professionals wanting some free advice on how they can use social media channels to drive their business growth, we have a number of professionals each doing a 15 minute talk on Twitter, LinkedIn and planning business content for your social channels. We are also hoping to have a media spokesperson talking about how social has changed the way that the publisher researches stories, gathers and broadcasts news.  This will be followed by a panel Q&A session with all speakers. The event is aimed at both beginners and intermediate users, however those who are active on social media are very welcome to come and share their top tips too.

Where is it?

The breakfast workshop will take place from 8-10.30am on Wednesday the 25th of September.

The event is taking place in the Wells room in the: H. G. Wells Conference and Events Centre Church Street East Woking Surrey GU21 6HJ

It’s free! This event is free to attend thanks to the support of Woking Borough Council and Connect2Innovation. If you like, you can make a voluntary donation to Surrey Young Carers on the day.
